{azlon from soybean} Commonly referred to as "soybean protein fiber". It is a sustainable textile fiber made from renewable natural resources - the leftover soybean pulp from tofu and soymilk production. It is a green textile fiber that possesses the superiorities of both natural and synthesized fibers.

{benefits of soy}  soybean fiber is a soft, light, and smooth protein based fiber. It is as smooth as cashmere and has the same moisture absorption as cotton but better moisture transmission, warmth retention that’s comparable to wool, making wearer stays warm and dry.

{from soy to fiber}  A patented process hold in China. 1. Protein fibers are extracted from the leftover pulp of tofu or soy milk production. 2. Protein liquids are forced through a device resembling a shower head, called a spinneret, to make liquid soy. This process is called wet-spinning. 3. Liquid soy is solidified to make soybean protein fiber. After protein is extracted, the soybean pulp will be used as feed stock for animals.

{fairly made} babysoy puts endless efforts in offering parents an eco-friendly and affordable layettes line made by artisans who are fairly-treated in a safe working environment.  Our partnering factory is located in the rural area of Shanghai/China.  We have worked with this family run factory since 2005 and since we visit this factory so often (co-founder visit the factory almost monthly), we feel like part of the family.  Our co-founder and staff in our Shanghai Office would spend the whole day at the factory, spending time with cutting, sewing and packaging departments.  We would have lunch at their cafeteria and talk to workers about their work, life and family.  Through our discussion, it was very interesting to find out how factory staffs' mentality changed from 2005 to 2015.  In 2005, workers would leave factories if there's no over time jobs because they wanted more income.  In 2015, workers declined 3x over time pay because they either want to have more family time or simply wanted to have more personal time.  We learned so much about changes of working environment in China in the past 14 years and were really glad that we decided not to outsource our factory inspection thus enables us to build this close relationship with our factory and know some of the artisans on personal level.  We are proud to tell our customers that the artisans who crafted our products are fairly-treated and importing our products from China has not in any way hindered our value or vision.

{non-gmo beans} all soybeans used are non-GMO (genetically modified organism) beans.

{type of cotton} babysoy uses long-staple cotton which helps to weave a smoother surface fabric structure.

{helping our environment} babysoy’s baby and tots line are sustainable and eco-friendly. This is because azlon from soybean is a textile that is made from recycled material and it does not add more burden to mother nature.

{snaps + zippers} all snaps and zippers are made by world-renowned YKK which are nickel-free to making dressing-time safe and easy.

{fire retardant} all items in our collections are NOT treated with any fire retardant chemicals. Please make sure they fit snuggly on your babies.

{wash & care} We recommend machine wash with cold water and tumble dry on low or delicate cycle.
